DC reviews progress under District Capex Budget 2025–26 in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 08: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting of officers from across line departments to review the physical and financial progress recorded under the District Capex Budget 2025–26, including the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh; IAS Probationer Seerat Baji; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh; Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash and other district officers.

While reviewing the progress under SASCI, the DC directed the concerned departments to expedite the pace of work and ensure completion of all projects under the scheme by March 2026.

The DC took an extensive review of progress achieved under different components, including District Capex Budget, DDC/BDC/PRI Grants, ADP, Untied Grants and ABDP, Labour budget performance under MGNREGA etc. Department-wise performance of sectors such as Irrigation, PHE, PWD, RDD, Health, Education, JPDCL and others was also reviewed.

Emphasizing timely execution, the DC instructed all departments to ensure 100% allotment of works at the earliest and accelerate the utilization of allotted funds. She also directed Block Development Officers to prioritize the completion of pending projects in mission mode and initiate billing of completed works without delay.

The DC further instructed the executing agencies to adhere strictly to timelines and conduct regular site visits to maintain quality and transparency of developmental works across the district.
