BUDGAM, OCTOBER 10: In view of the upcoming Bye-Elections 2025 to the 27-Budgam Assembly Constituency, a one-day training programme on the c-Vigil App was organized today at the New Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Budgam.

The training aimed to familiarize the Flying Squads and Static Surveillance Teams, including their designated Magistrates and accompanying Police Officials, with the effective use of the c-Vigil App.
Pertinently, c-Vigil App is an important digital tool developed by the Election Commission of India to ensure transparency, accountability, and swift redressal of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violations during elections.

During the session, officers were briefed on the operational features of the app, including real-time reporting, geo-tagged complaint submission, and verification mechanisms. The emphasis was laid on prompt response and coordination between field teams to ensure free, fair, and ethical elections in the district.

The participants underscored the importance of the training and use of technology in monitoring election-related activities and maintaining the sanctity of the democratic process.

The programme was attended by GM DIC budgam ( Nodal officer MCC) , DIO NIC, Magistrates and Police Officials of the Flying Squads and Static Surveillance Teams.
