SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 26:The Agriculture Department Kashmir today observed “Constitution Day” (Samvidhan Divas) with great enthusiasm by organizing a Preamble Reading Ceremony at the Agriculture Complex, Lalmandi, and Srinagar.

The event was held to reaffirm the commitment of the Department toward the ideals and values enshrined in the Constitution of India.

Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sartaj Ahmad Shah, led the ceremony and administered the reading of the Preamble to all officers and officials of the Directorate. The participants collectively recited the Preamble, reiterating their resolve to uphold the constitutional principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director underlined the significance of Constitution Day, emphasizing that it serves as a reminder of the responsibility shared by every citizen to protect and promote constitutional values. He stated that the most meaningful way to celebrate this day is by demonstrating dedication, integrity, and commitment in service of the people, particularly the farming community, whose welfare remains the Department’s foremost priority.

Shah also highlighted that Constitution Day offers an opportunity to pay homage to the members of the Drafting Committee who laid the foundational framework for the world’s largest democracy. He encouraged all departmental personnel to internalize the spirit of the Constitution in their daily functioning.

Preamble Reading Ceremonies were also conducted across all district, sub-division, and zonal offices of the Agriculture Department. The respective officers presided over the functions, ensuring widespread participation and uniform observance of the day across Kashmir Division.
