RAJOURI, JANUARY 06: As part of Road Safety Month, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri, Rajesh Gupta, today emphasized the importance of road safety among newly issued Driving Licence (DL) seekers during an awareness programme held in the district.
While interacting with the aspirants, the ARTO highlighted crucial road safety tips, with special focus on safe driving practices during prevailing foggy conditions. He advised the new drivers to strictly adhere to speed limits, maintain safe distances, use headlights and fog lamps judiciously and avoid rash or negligent driving to prevent road accidents.
On the occasion, the ARTO also administered a road safety pledge to the aspirants to follow traffic rules and regulations, avoid drunk driving, wear helmets and seat belts and contribute to making roads safer for all.
