BANDIPORA, APRIL 06: Principal District & Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Bandipora, Jeema Bashir, along with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, today inspected the ongoing works on several components of the District Court Complex Bandipora and took stock of the progress achieved so far.
During the inspection, it was informed that the project is being executed by the Police Housing Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs. 35 crore. The officers were apprised that while the main court building has been completed, several components of the complex are still under construction, including Lawyers’ Chambers with about 60 percent progress, residential quarters at 70 percent completion, and the prosecution building at around 60 percent completion. Overall, nearly 80 percent of the project has been completed so far.
The PD&SJ and DC, stressed the need for maintaining the pace of work and directed the executing agency to ensure timely completion of the project. They also emphasized adherence to quality standards and proper supervision at all stages of construction.
The officers underscored the importance of the project in strengthening judicial infrastructure in the district and facilitating better access to justice for the public.
During the visit, the accompanying officers were directed to closely monitor the progress of work and ensure that all components of the project are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
