World Malaria Day observed across district Doda

DODA, APRIL 25: The World Malaria Day was today observed across District Doda under the guidance of Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, State Malarialogist and CMO Dr. Tanveer Ahmed Rather.

The main event, an awareness programme cum symposium, was organized at Government ANMT School by the District Malaria Unit to educate students and the staff about malaria prevention, control and the importance of maintaining hygiene and sanitation.

District Malaria Officer Ilam Din highlighted the significance of World Malaria Day. He stressed the need for collective efforts to eliminate malaria and urged people to adopt preventive measures to protect themselves from mosquito-borne diseases.

Six students drawn from different courses of Government ANMT School participated in the symposium programme and shared their views on malaria awareness and prevention.
Principal Government Vidya Kotwal, besides malaria staff and officials of the CMO Office were also present on the occasion.

Later, prizes were distributed among the participants in appreciation of their active involvement in the symposium.

Similar awareness programmes were also organized in all Medical Blocks of the district as part of the observance of World Malaria Day.
