KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 24: The Department of Handicrafts Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Artisan Service Center Udhampur, and the Ministry of Textile Government of India, organized an awareness-cum-on-spot registration camp for artisans to obtain Pechan Cards.
The event, held in the office premises of Assistant Director Handicrafts, aimed to educate artisans about the welfare schemes and register them for Pechan Cards, enabling them to access benefits from both UT-sponsored and centrally sponsored schemes.
The key highlights of the event were briefing on UT Government-sponsored and centrally sponsored scheme, Pechan Card Registration and Distribution of Departmental Pamphlets covering UT and center-sponsored schemes.
Assistant Director Handicrafts Pardeep Shan encouraged the participants to go for formation of OFPOs in Crewel embroidery, Knitting, and Crochet works.
HPO Handicrafts promotion Officer, Saurabh and CPO Carpet Promotion Officer, Krishan from Artisan Weaver Service Udhampur also briefed artisans on centrally sponsored schemes.
The programme was attended by AHTOs, Instructors, and MTS of Handicrafts and Handloom Department.
