RAMBAN, MAY 16: The Indian Army organised an awareness drive at Government School Chapnari with the aim of educating students and locals about the social, psychological and health-related consequences caused by alcohol addiction.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Army personnel, school teachers, local youth and students from the surrounding areas.
During the programme, the Army personnel highlighted the adverse impact of alcohol misuse on individuals, families and society, while also stressing the importance of adopting a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
Army representatives encouraged the youth to stay away from substance abuse and focus on education, sports and nation-building activities. Interactive sessions were also conducted where students and participants shared their views and asked questions regarding the prevention of alcohol addiction and methods to maintain physical and mental well-being.
Teachers and locals appreciated the initiative taken by the Indian Army and expressed gratitude for conducting such awareness programmes in remote areas. The event concluded with a collective pledge by participants to spread awareness against alcohol misuse and contribute towards building a healthier and drug-free society.
