RAMBAN, MAY 18: A week-long Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign on “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” under Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 was today launched in district Ramban from Block Khari.

The campaign aims to ensure effective outreach and doorstep delivery of government welfare schemes to Scheduled Tribe communities residing in remote and far-flung areas of the district.

Organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the campaign will continue from May 18 to May 25, 2026, covering different parts of district Ramban.

The inaugural programme was presided over by Programme Officer ICDS Abdul Qyume, who is also the Nodal Officer for the campaign in the district. The event was attended by officers and officials from various line departments, ex-PRI representatives and members of the tribal community.

The PO ICDS said that the campaign shall be conducted across 11 designated predominantly tribal villages of district. The first phase commenced today in four panchayats of Tehsil Khari, namely Mangit, Trigam Upper, Khari Lower-A and Shagan.

The week-long initiative shall focus on field contact activities, service saturation, health outreach and livelihood visibility among tribal communities living in remote and underserved areas. It will also include Jan Bhagidaari activities, Jan Sunwai programmes, saturation drives, health camps and awareness programmes on various government welfare schemes, he added.

During the inaugural function, stalls set up by different departments showcasing schemes related to education, healthcare, livelihood generation, social welfare and tribal welfare were inspected by the Nodal Officer, who also briefed participants about the initiatives aimed at the socio-economic upliftment of tribal communities.

An orientation session for officers and officials of line departments was conducted by CDPO Ramsoo Rhythm Jandyal focusing on the systematic implementation of activities planned for the campaign in the identified villages.

Officials stated that the campaign is designed to strengthen grassroots participation and ensure last-mile delivery of government benefits through direct village outreach, grievance redressal and entitlement resolution.

The inaugural function witnessed enthusiastic participation from tribal residents of the four panchayats, who appreciated the government’s outreach initiative and expressed hope that their developmental concerns would be addressed.
