RAJOURI, JULY 18: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a review meeting with Revenue officers to assess the district’s preparedness for adverse weather conditions and disaster management.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the prevailing weather situation and directed field officers to remain on high alert and ensure prompt response to any emergency arising due to heavy rainfall, flash floods, landslides or other weather-related incidents. He instructed officers to maintain coordination with departments concerned, keep emergency response teams ready, monitor vulnerable locations round the clock and ensure uninterrupted dissemination of weather advisories to the public.
The Deputy Commissioner directed timely reporting of incidents, immediate restoration of essential services and measures to safeguard lives and property and instructed officers to remain accessible in their jurisdictions and ensure disaster management protocols are implemented effectively.
Among those present were ADC Kalakote Tanvir Ahmed Kotranka, ADC Sunderbani Ramkesh Sharma, ADC Nowshera Pritam Lal Thapa, ACR Rajouri Mohd Jahangir Khan, SDM Thanamandi Abid Hussain and Tehsildars.
