KUPWARA, AUGUST 10: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, today led a Tiranga Rally at Hafthrada in Tarathpora block under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and inaugurated a Skill Centre for women in the village.
Established as a joint collaboration between the Indian Army and the District Administration, the centre aims to empower local women through sewing and other skill-based training, creating opportunities for self-employment and livelihood generation. The building, previously abandoned, was renovated by the Rural Development Department and further supported by Indian Army.
The event was attended by senior Army officers, BDO Tarathpora Dr. Rasiq Hamid, DIO Kupwara Aadil Manzoor Wani, Civil society members of the village and general public.
Interacting with locals, the DC assured time bound action regarding tele-connectivity issue. He also pledged continued support for the Skill Centre through relevant government schemes, urging trainees to make the most of the opportunity to become self-reliant.
The Har Ghar Tiranga rally saw enthusiastic public participation, reflecting the spirit of patriotism.
