Three local LeT militants killed in Pulwama encounter: IGP

Three militants killed in encounter at Anantnag

Srinagar: Three militants of LeT outfit have been killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces in Drabgam village of Pulwama district on Saturday evening, police said here.

Kashmir zone police on its official Twitter handle informed that three LeT militants were killed in the encounter, while arms and ammunition were also recovered from the site of encounter.

Meanwhile, Kashmir zone police while quoting IGP said that all three killed militants were locals and were linked with LeT outfit.

He said that one of them has been identified as Junaid Sheergojri, and he was involved in killing of a cop Reyaz Ahmad on May 13.

IGP added that other two killed militants have been identified as Fazil Nazir Bhat & Irfan Ah Malik of Pulwama.

“Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 02 AK 47 rifles and 01 pistol have also been recovered,” he said. (KNS)
