MoE appoints Prof A. Ravinder Nath as VC of CUK for five years

Srinagar: Ministry of Education (MoE) Friday appointed Professor A. Ravinder Nath as Vice Chancellor of Central University of Kashmir (CUK) for a period of five years.

According to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Under Secretary to the Government of India (GoI) C.P Ratnakaran in this regard issued an official communique.

Ratnakaran said that he was directed to say that the President has appointed Prof A. Ravinder Nath as a VC for CUK.

“The president in her capacity as the Visitor of Central University of Kashmir has been pleased to appoint Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Dean, Faculty of Technology, Osmania University, Hyderabad, as the Vice Chancellor of CUK as per Statute 2 of Central Universities Act, 2009 for a term of five years.

According to the official communique, the term if the newly appointed VC will begin from the date on which he enters upon his office, or until he attains the age of seventy years, whichever is earlier.

“The terms and conditions of the services of Prof. A. Ravinder Nath as the Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Kashmir will be those as set forth in the Act, Statutes and Ordinances of the University,” it reads—(KNO)
