Budgam: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided an under-construction building of Khurram Parvez at in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a team of NIA along with police and paramilitary forces conducted searches at the under-construction building in the Dandoosa area of Budgam, which is said to be an office that was being used by Parvez.
The searches were conducted in an NGO militant funding case. Khurram Parvez, who is a human rights activist and Program Coordinator of Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS), a group based in Kashmir, was arrested in 2021 by the NIA which accused him of being involved in “terror-funding” and “conspiracy”—(KNO)
