KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 23: Deptt. of Tourism along with RDD & PR Kulgam today organized a one day programme on Rural tourism & Home stays and Tourism as medium of self Employment at Aharbal Tangmarg, here.
The programme was attended by ACD Mohammad Imran, AD- Tourism and other officers besides members of youth clubs, PRI Members and locals.
During the programme participants were apprised that the main focus of the programme is to stimulate rural economy through rural tourism, besides creation of new business and self employment opportunities especially through home stays.
Officers also highlighted the potential of rural tourism in boosting the rural economy and generation of employment. It was highlighted that the Centrally Sponsored Schemes can change the future of the unemployed youth.
