Handwara Mar 3, : Chief Education Officer Kupwara Abdul Majeed Dar along with the teachers of the School Education Department Kashmir on Monday welcomed students back to school after a three-month-long winter break.
A function was organized in this regard at the Government Higher Secondary School Unisoo in Langate Kupwara. CEO Kupwara Abdul Majeed Dar along with ZEO Langate Mr. Molvi Naseer, Principal Muhammad Javid, and faculty members distributed sweets among the students on the opening day.
The schools up to class 5th were ordered to observe winter vacation from December 1 to February 28, classes from 6th to 8th from December 12, and those from 9th to 12 standards from December 19.
“Today students reported to their schools after winter vacation with a lot of excitement and passion and the teachers were equally excited to resume class work,” CEO Kupwara told , adding that during the past couple of years, there have been some learning gaps in students.
“This academic year our teachers will work with all the passion and capability to mitigate these gaps,” he said, adding that in all schools of Education Zone Langate, teachers warmly received the students on day one of the school after winter break.
“The teachers distributed sweets among the students to make them feel good on the first day of school after winter break,” he said, appealing to teachers of his Zone to impart education with a difference.
At the start of the new session in the schools, Chief Education Officer Kupwara, Abdul Majeed Dar expressed his good wishes to the students for the forthcoming session. He said that many steps are being taken for the upgradation of the basic infrastructure in Educational Institutions.
