Udhampur Press Club elects new body

UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: Local journalists of District Udhampur on Sunday  unanimously elected its body with Sumit Sharma of Managing Director JK Channel Udhampur as the President and Pankaj Saraf of Managing Director Media 1 Channel and Bureau Chief Dainik State Samachar as Vice President.
The body was constituted during a general meeting of journalists of District Udhampur.
Ashish Dutt of Chief  Editor JK Channel  has been elected as General Secretary,  Ashwani Sharma of Bureau Chief Early Times Udhampur as Secretary, Arun Sharma of Deputy Bureau Chief Dainik State Samachar as Joint Secretary, Aaftab Hindustani of Bureau Chief Jammu Rising News as Treasurer/Chief Account Officer, Vinay Sharma of Bureau Chief Raftar Samachar as Distt Spokesperson and Advocate Rahul Jandial as Legal Advisor.
In his address, the Club president Sumit Sharma said that he would take steps for the welfare of journalists’ community and improving the affairs of the press club Udhampur.
He assured to come up to the expectations of members and do his best to contribute towards the welfare of journalist fraternity and also to coordinate with Civil and Police administration for the overall interest of people.
