Distt Admin B’la organises Voters Awareness program under SVEEP at Ladu-Ladoora

BARAMULLA, MARCH 14: With an aim to raise awareness about various voting-related activities as part of SVEEP (Systematic Voter Education Electoral Participation) initiative, the District Administration Baramulla today organised Voters Awareness program under SVEEP at Ladoo, Ladoora, Rafiabad.

The event was presided over by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina and was attended by the Nodal Officer SVEEP, Baramulla, Balbir Singh Raina, AEROs, BLOs, principals and teachers of schools of the constituency, local residents and students from various schools and officials from various other departments.

The event featured a range of engaging sporting activities, including snow cricket, snow art, skits and more, which attracted enthusiastic youth and students who wholeheartedly participated and set the stage for a grandeur celebration of the democratic process.

Speaking during the event, the ADC underscored that the goal of organizing these events is to promote electoral literacy and spread awareness of the election process, thereby empowering the electorates especially first-time voters to actively participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 elections.

ADC further emphasized the importance of every eligible voter in our democratic system and urged everyone present, especially new voters, to participate wholeheartedly in the General Elections and elect their representatives who can understand and address their aspirations.

The event also saw active participation from Booth Level Officers (BLOs), who diligently educated attendees about the electoral process, emphasizing their right to vote and the vital role they play as integral members of our thriving democracy.

Later, the ADC in presence of CEO and ACD distributed the participation certificates among the local youth and students who took part in various activities held during the program.
