Sopore, Apr 04 : The Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Minga Sherpa on Thursday conducted a comprehensive inspection of Eidgahs in Sopore and Baramulla to oversee the preparations for congregational Eid prayers and ensure arrangements for a large gathering.
An administrative official told news agency that the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to ensure adequate facilities such as cleanliness, water facility, lighting and other infrastructure related things to accommodate the expected large gathering of people.
He also urged people to participate in the upcoming election’s with the same enthusiasm and fervor as they do during the festive occasion, especially Eid.
The DC accompanied by the ADC and SP Sopore emphasized the significance of active participation and encouraged citizens to exercise their democratic right to vote — which shapes the future of a region through electoral process, the official said.
“The essence of any festival lies in fostering peace, joy and communal harmony. As we prepare to celebrate Eid, let us upload the spirit of responsibility”, Minga Sherpa said while talking to reporters at the inspection site.
“Election’s are the festival of democracy where every citizen plays a crucial role in shaping the future”, he said.
