The programme, held under the guidance of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman DLSA Srinagar (PDJ, Srinagar), focused on the subject “Women’s Role in Enhancing Senior Citizens’ Well-Being.” It aimed to highlight the vital contributions of women in promoting the wellbeing of senior citizens.

Naseema Lankar, the chief guest, shared her insightful experiences from visiting old age homes in countries like Japan and imparted valuable lessons learned. Sagufta, a poet, added a cultural dimension to the event by sharing her poetry books and reciting poems that resonated with the theme. Her literary contributions were well-received and underscored the power of art in raising awareness about social issues.

Dr. Laila Sultana provided additional insights and facilitated meaningful discussions. She also thanked the staff members and senior citizen members of Ahata Waqar for making the program a successful and impactful one.
