Div Com reviews arrangements for 3rd Lok Samvardhan Parv at KU

SRINAGAR, MARCH 22: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Saturday held a meeting to facilitate the organization of 3rd Lok Samvardhan Parv at Kashmir University besides 6th program of Mission Shakti & Vatsalaya in Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi ud Din Bhat; MD, ICPS; Director Social Welfare Department; Director School Education; SSP Srinagar; Officers of Hospitality & Protocol, Transport Department, Kashmir University besides General Manager Radisson.

The meeting held threadbare discussion for smooth conduct of the events and the necessary arrangements to facilitate participants.

The 3rd Lok Samvardhan Parv at Kashmir University shall be held from 5th to 13th April and is being organized by the Ministry of Minority Affairs which shall feature the participation of artisans and culinary experts from different parts of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Div Com impressed concerned officers to orchestrate elaborated arrangements for accommodation of participants, transportation, sanitation, waste management, ambulance facility, security besides wide publicity of the event.

He directed concerned for exploring accomodation of participants in a cluster for the convenience of transportation of participants to the venue.

Div Com directed for designation of liaison officers to ensure close coordination among all the stakeholders.
He instructed SMC for ensuring cleanliness and sanitation during the period of Lok Samvardhan Parv event and facilitate the wide publicity of the event through installation of hoardings in city and near Srinagar Airport.

Regarding the participation of local dignitaries, Div Com instructed for invitation of the public representatives and senior officers of administration.

Bidhuri instructed Director School Education to facilitate the visit of students to the venue to witness and experience different crafts and flavours of the country.

Meanwhile, Div Com also reviewed accomodation, Transportation and security arrangements for the participants of 6th of Mission Shakti and Mission Vatsalaya organised by Ministry of Women and Children Development.
