RAMBAN, MAY 27: As part of the IEC campaign on Nasha Mukt Bharat launched by the District Administration Ramban, a mega awareness program was today organized at Government High School Chanderkote.

The initiative aimed to sensitize students and the community about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The program was presided over by ACR Shoket Hayat Mattoo, in presence of Tehsildar, Deep Kumar and ZEO Batote.

Students from different schools of the Zone actively participated and expressed their views and creativity through debate and painting competitions focused on the theme of a drug-free India.

Addressing the gathering, the ACR highlighted the crucial role of youth in shaping a drug-free society. He encouraged students to steer clear of drug abuse and instead channel their energy into education, sports, and constructive activities.

Commending the Education Department for its proactive role, he called upon teachers and parents to be vigilant and supportive in guiding children. He also reiterated the administration’s resolve to make Ramban a model district under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan through continuous awareness efforts and collective community involvement.

The event was also attended by NT Chanderkote, staff of the Education Department and other concerned officials. They collectively stressed the need for sustained community engagement and educational outreach to effectively combat substance abuse.

The program concluded with a united pledge to fight the drug menace and work towards a safer, healthier future for the youth of Ramban.
