DODA, JUNE 21: In a significant initiative aimed at promoting accessible and affordable justice, a Special Lok Adalat was organized today at the court premises of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Doda, focusing

on the amicable settlement of long-pending revenue-related cases. The event witnessed active public participation and was held under the broader vision of strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms at the grassroots level.

The Lok Adalat Bench was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ashraf Parvaiz.

A range of revenue matters, including disputes related to land records, mutations, and demarcations, were taken up during the session. The bench ensured that all proceedings were conducted in a fair, transparent and consensual manner.

Most of the cases were resolved successfully with the mutual consent of the parties involved, enabling swift, peaceful and cost-effective resolution without the need for prolonged litigation.
The initiative was widely appreciated by the public and local stakeholders.
