RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 22: Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban Varunjeet Singh Charak today chaired a meeting to review the progress of formulation, uploading implementation of departmental Action Plans under the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP).
The ADC is Chairperson of the District Level Committee under EP.
The meeting was attended by the General Manager District Industry Centre, Chief Education Officer, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Block Development Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Tehsildar Headquarters and other concerned officers.
The ADC reviewed department-wise uploading and implementation of YEP. He stressed the need for well-structured, practical and outcome-oriented Action Plans, reflecting the specific interventions proposed for youth engagement, empowerment and development. He called for focused interventions in sports, skill development, entrepreneurship, agriculture, employment, education, volunteerism and social development.
The Departments were also asked to identify clear targets, beneficiaries, timelines and mechanisms for monitoring implementation.
The meeting highlighted the convergence of initiatives of more than 18 Government departments on a single platform to provide coordinated opportunities to youth in the 15–35 age groups.
He directed the Assistant Director Employment, Ramban, designated as Nodal Officer for Youth Engagement, to closely monitor departmental progress, facilitate timely uploading of Action Plans and ensure achievement of assigned targets through coordinated efforts.
