JAMMU, MARCH 11: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, in collaboration with Funkar Cultural Organisation and Nagrad Adbi Sangam, Jammu, organised a function to release book titled “Akanandun”, edited by Veteran Writer G.R. Hasrat Gadda.
The book was released in the presence of Khalid Hussain, Sahitya Akademi Awardee writer, who presided over the function, Avtar Bhat, senior writer and Sohail Kazmi, senior Journalist, as Guests of Honour, Bharat Singh, Secretary, JKAACL and S. Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Punjabi, JKAACL in the K.L Saigal Hall, Jammu.
The function was attended by the esteemed guests, literary enthusiasts, artists etc.
In the beginning, Bharat Singh, Secretary, JKAACL said that JKAACL is regularly organising literary and interactive events in Jammu as well as in Kashmir regions. He added that the interaction between writers and public have proved to be beneficial for both of them.
Prof. Rattan Talashi presented an impressive paper on the book highlighting the qualitative content of the book and literary contribution of Hasrat Gadda.
In his presidential address, Khalid Hussain appreciated the writer for his contribution towards the field of literature and arts.
Avtar Bhat and Sohail Kazmi also expressed their views about the author and his contribution in the field of Culture and literature.
The proceedings of the event were ably conducted by Avtar Hugami.
