Amid heavy snowfall SDH Sogam conducts 13 Deliveries, 6 Dialysis in 02 days

Locals appreciate the efforts of hospital administration

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 21: Amid heavy snowfall in the entire Kupwara district including Lolab Sub-division, Doctors at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sogam successfully conducted 13 deliveries which included 8 ‘Lower Segment Caesarian Section’ (LSCS) surgeries and 5 normal deliveries with zero gynae referral.

In this tough time, when life had come to stand still, braving all odds, a team of doctors under the supervision of Block Medical Officer (BMO), Dr. Fareed Shaheen Choudhary, conducted these surgeries.

Giving details about the surgeries conducted, the officials said, “In the last 24 hours, the dedicated and hardworking medical staff at sub district hospital Sogam had done a marvelous job and conducted 13 deliveries including 8 ‘Lower Segment Cesarean Section’ (LSCS) successfully.

The medical staff at SDH Sogam also conducted 6 dialysis and one autopsy during the period. The Outpatient Department (OPD) remained fully functional during this challenging time.

The hard work and dedication of Hospital staff and administration has been appreciated by the people of Lolab.
