Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army in a joint operation recovered a cache of ammunition at Churanda area of Uri sector on Tuesday.
As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), acting upon an input regarding presence of ammunition in village Churanda area of Uri sector, the parties of Army 16 SIKHLI and J&K Police today launched a CASO around the village.
Furthermore, the search operation led to the recovery of ammunition including 200 rounds of AK ammunition, eight Chinese grenades and IED material.
The statement said that a case under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Uri and investigation set in motion—(KNO)
