Assembly Election-2024 General Observer Nowshera, Sunderbani-Kalakote ACs interacts with representatives of political parties, candidates

Briefs them regarding ECI guidelines for conduct of free, fair Assembly Elections

RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 10: General Observer for Nowshera and Sunderbani-Kalakote Assembly Constituencies, Mani Ram Sharma today interacted with representatives of the Political parties and candidates in fray for two constituencies of Rajouri District. The Expenditure Observer was also present in the meeting.

On the occasion, Mani Ram briefed the participants regarding Model Code of Conduct and assured level playing field for all the candidates during the electioneering.

He sensitized them regarding the ethical usage of language during campaigning, responsible usage of Social Media, maintaining communal harmony and compliance to MCC.

He stressed on them to stay informed about the uniform selling for different expenditures for electioneering by the candidate and maintenance of expenditure registers.

The participants were also informed regarding different activities to be conducted to ensure free, fair and transparent elections including Randomisation of EVMS, Commissioning of EVM; VVPATS, appointment of Booth agents by candidates or Political parties and other important aspects of election.

Regarding permission for rallies or programs, the participants were told that the same shall be given on a first come first serve basis.
