KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 05: Expenditure Observer Atesham Ansari (IRS) today inspected key election facilities in Kathua District, including the Integrated Election Control Room, Media Certification & Monitoring Committee (MCMC) and the Media Centre established in the DEO Office Kathua.

The visit aimed to assess the readiness and effectiveness of the dedicated cells established to ensure transparency and efficiency during the upcoming elections. The Observer reviewed the operational status of the Integrated Control Room, MCMC, and Media Centre, and interacted with the staff to gather first-hand insights on the functionality of these units.

During the inspection, the Observer was briefed about the arrangements and the role assigned to each unit in facilitating a seamless electoral process. The staff provided updates on the preparations made to handle election-related queries and ensure smooth operations throughout the election period.

Emphasizing the need for transparency and efficiency, the Observer highlighted the importance of adhering to election guidelines and maintaining high standards of service. He also stressed the need to ensure that all necessary facilities are available to assist voters, candidates, and other stakeholders involved in the electoral process.

SSP Kathua Deepika, Nodal Officer for the Control Room, Neeraj Bhargav (DIO), and AERO Aana Jamwal (Tehsildar) were also present. ‎
