Assembly Elections- 2024: General Observer conducts extensive tour of 45-Srigufwara- Bijbehara Assembly Constituency

ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 05: General Observer, Rishi Garg today conducted an inspection of various polling stations in the Assembly Constituency of 45-Srigufwara-Bijbehara.
The visit covered polling stations in Zone Khiram, Nowshera, Darigund, and Srigufwara.

During the visit, Garg engaged with the general public and students to ensure transparency and address any concerns. He also reviewed the ongoing commissioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at the Strong Room established at Government Degree College Bijbehara.

In his interactions with the ECIL engineers and representatives of political parties present, Garg emphasized the importance of adhering to Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines. He instructed the Returning Officer (RO) and Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) to complete the commissioning process in strict compliance with ECI protocols.

Pertinently, the polling for the Assembly Constituency is slated for 18th September, 2024 in the first phase of polling in Jammu & Kashmir.
