Ayush Department organises medical checkup cum awareness programme at IRP Camp Parnote

RAMBAN, MARCH 13: In line with directives of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, the Ayush Department organized a Medical Checkup cum Awareness Camp at the IRP Camp Parnote to conduct diabetes and hypertension screening of police personnel and impart them medical advice.

The camp was inaugurated by Commandant IRP-16 Sukh Dev in the presence of medical experts and officials. Senior Medical Officer and District Yoga Coordinator Dr. Masood Iqbal led the awareness session, educating attendees on preventive healthcare and lifestyle modifications.

A team of medical professionals, including Dr. Showkat Ahmad Mir (District Hospital Ramban), Dr. Shazad (AHWC Gool), Senior Pharmacist Shashi Kant Sharma, and Head Pharmacist Ajay Kumar, actively participated in the camp. Volunteer Huzaifa Bin Masood, along with Sanjeet Singh and Parwaah Singh also contributed to the initiative.

During the camp, about 250 police personnel underwent medical checkups, including blood pressure monitoring and diabetes screening. Free medicines were distributed among the attendees to promote health and wellness.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about common health issues and encourage preventive healthcare measures among police personnel.
