CDF, MPLAD Works; DC Kishtwar sets deadlines for completion

KISHTWAR, JUNE 22: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma today convened a meeting to assess the status and progress of works being executed under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for the FYs 2025-26 and 2026-27.

Chief Planning Officer Akhil Thakur briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the current status of the CDF and MPLADS works.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed in detail the constituency-wise and work-wise progress of each project.
The Deputy Commissioner set three deadlines—June 30, July 15 and July 31, 2026—for the completion of different works. He directed the executing agencies to maintain pace as per the deadlines adding that the progress of each work shall be cross-checked at the next review meeting. He directed the Executive Engineer REW to issue final notices to the contractors who have not started the allotted works yet.

The DC further directed the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to book expenditure and submit bills for works that have already been completed.

The meeting was attended by BDO Trigam Roopesh Sharma; BDO Bounjwah Aijaz Ahmad; BDO Inderwal Zahid Mughal; BDO Thakrie Ishtiaq Molvi; BDO Palmar Rajesh Padha; ExEn ReW Satbir Singh; ExEn JPDCL Abdul Hamid and other concerned.
