KATHUA, APRIL 23: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma who is also the Principal Census Officer, today inaugurated a three-day training programme for Field Trainers for Census 2027 Phase-I (House Listing & Housing Census) here in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.
In his inaugural address, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of the Census as a vital tool for evidence-based planning and governance. He urged the participants to approach the training with utmost seriousness and dedication to ensure accuracy, reliability and timeliness in the conduct of census operations.
The training sessions are being conducted by District Statistics & Evaluation Officer (DSEO) Sidharth Anand and Master Trainer from Directorate of Census Operations- J&K Sanjay Kumar. The sessions would cover key aspects of census methodology, digital data collection and field-level execution.
The programme is being attended by designated Field Trainers from the Education Department, who will further impart training at the grassroots level.
Additional Deputy Commissioners of Billawar and Basohli, besides Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Hiranagar and Bani, attended the session through virtual mode.
The training programme shall continue for three days and aims to strengthen the capacity of Field Trainers for smooth and effective implementation of Census 2027 in the District.
