Children’s Day celebrated at Pediatric Ward RSSDH Poonch

POONCH, NOVEMBER 14: Children’s Day was celebrated with great joy at Pediatric Ward of Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital (RSSDH) Poonch. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan.

The celebration included a special gathering where children admitted to the ward were greeted with smiles and kindness from the hospital staff.

Dr. Nusrat Bhatti, the Medical Superintendent of RSSDH, was also present, alongside Consultant Pediatrician Dr. Jalpreet Kaur, who organized the event to bring a joyful experience to the young patients and their families.

To mark the occasion, the Chief Medical Officer distributed gifts among the children, spreading joy and happiness. The children were thrilled to receive the presents, which brought a spark of excitement amidst their hospital stay. Refreshments were also provided to the children and their families, creating a warm, festive atmosphere within the ward.

Speaking at the event, Dr. P.A. Khan emphasized the importance of a nurturing and supportive environment for children in hospitals, especially on Children’s Day. “We are committed to making our pediatric ward a place where children can feel comfortable and cared for, even in times of illness,” he said. Dr. Nusrat Bhatti and Dr. Jalpreet Kaur echoed his sentiments, expressing their dedication to continually improving pediatric care in the region.

The event concluded with heartfelt wishes from the medical team for the speedy recovery of all young patients, along with a pledge to further develop child-friendly healthcare facilities in Poonch.
