POONCH, NOVEMBER 14: The District Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI) committee held its quarterly meeting at the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) here today. The meeting was organized by the District Immunization Officer (DIO) office in the CMO’s meeting hall.
The agenda focused on reviewing district AEFI initiatives and discussing strategies to enhance immunization safety. The team members present included Dr. Johra Parveen (DIO), Dr. Priyanka Bhagat (Gynecologist), Dr. Balvinder Singh (Physician), Dr. Jalpreet Kaur (Pediatrician), Dr. Ishrat Hussain (Pathologist), Dr. Rahul Sharma medical officer and Ajay Pangotra (VCCM).
The meeting began with a detailed presentation on AEFI, including a welcome note from Dr. Rahul Sharma. The session covered the latest developments, ongoing challenges, and future plans to ensure the effective monitoring and management of adverse events related to immunization.
The CMO concluded the meeting on a positive note, highlighting the importance of the team’s work in safeguarding public health and ensuring community trust in vaccination programs. The CMO poonch commended the efforts of all team members and encouraged continued dedication to the AEFI cause for the well-being of the district’s population.
