DC Bandipora conducts extensive tour of Child Care institutions

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 09: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Thursday conducted an extensive tour of all the Child Care Institutions viz. PALAASH, PAREESHA and PHULWARI of District Bandipora and took first hand appraisal of their working.

The DC accompanied by ADC Zaffar Husson Shawl and District Child Protection Officer/District Social Welfare Officer, inspected the facilities especially heating/bedding arrangements being provided to the children residing in these institutions.

District Child Protection Officer/ DSWO apprised the DC about other facilities being provided to the children in these institutions which include recreational activities, separate additional tutors etc. The DC also interacted with the staff of these institutions and instructed them to take care of these children with full dedication and sincerity.
He expressed satisfaction with the facilities being provided to the children in these institutions.

The DC also visited One Stop Centre and SANKALP -Hub for Empowerment of Women, Bandipora and took stock of the functioning of these institutions.

He interacted with the staff and instructed them to ensure no one especially women is left behind from the purview of the Government schemes besides instructing the staff to reach out to everyone who is in need of the different services of the government.

The DC further inspected the offices of Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board, District Child Protection Unit, Child Helpline Bandipora and took stock of their functioning and implementation of the schemes under Mission Vatsalya.

While reviewing the working of District Child Protection Unit and Child Welfare Committee Bandipora, the DC instructed them to continue working for the welfare of children and ensure that no child is left behind.
