DC Bandipora conducts extensive tour of Kehnusa, Zurimnaz & adjoining areas of Tehsil Aloosa Inspects polling stations

BANDIPORA, MAY 01: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Wednesday conducted an extensive field tour of Aloosa block, including Kehnusa, Zurimanz and other adjoining low lying areas.

The DC assessed the impact of recent incessant rains and took firsthand appraisal of the post rainfall situation.
At Panchayat Ghar Kehnusa, which is also a polling station, the DC took stock of Assured Minimum Facilities including ramp, water supply, electricity and others for smooth conduct of Lok Sabha Election-2024 besides inspected ongoing work in Panchayat Ghar.

During his visit to Zurimanz, the DC reviewed the on ground post rainfall situation.
While interacting with locals of Zurimanz, the DC patiently listened to their issues and concerns and assured them to resolve their issues on priority.
He asked concerned officers to devise a plan for a permanent solution of water logging in the low-lying Zurimanz area.
The DC also paid a visit to Middle School Zurimanz, interacted with staff and students besides directing the concerned officers to take fencing of school premises on priority.
Locals of Zurimanz expressed gratitude to the DC for visiting the area and listening to their issues.
