DC Bandipora flags off boat rally under SVEEP for voter awareness

BANDIPORA, MARCH 10: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote voter awareness and participation, District Administration Bandipora on Sunday organised a boat rally at Zurimamz under  Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP)  activities.

The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Shakeel Ul Rehman.

The DC was accompanied by DyDEO Bandipora Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat, Youth Icon SVEEP activities for J&K UT, Faisal Ali Dar and other concerned.

Combining education with adventure, Youth from adjacent areas participated in the rally to raise awareness on voting procedures, voter registration, and the pivotal role citizens play in shaping the democratic process.

Deputy Commissioner on the occasion emphasized to ensure that every eligible voter is equipped with the knowledge and motivation to exercise their democratic right.

Highlighting the importance of vote, the Deputy Commissioner said that a single vote can be the deciding factor in determining the outcome of an election and urged the general public to use their right to vote and fulfill their  civic duty.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner also highlighted ill effects of drugs and urged youth to participate in sports activities to stay away from drugs.
