BHADERWAH, MAY 31: In preparation for the upcoming Lavender Festival 2025, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, conducted a thorough inspection of the venue at the Sports Stadium, Government Degree College Bhaderwah. The visit aimed to assess the progress of ongoing logistical and infrastructural arrangements to ensure the successful hosting of the much-awaited event.

During the inspection, the DC reviewed various aspects including sanitation, provision of power supply, drinking water, stage setup, parking and public convenience facilities. He issued on the spot instructions to the concerned departments to accelerate the remaining works, emphasizing the need to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for tourists, guests and locals expected to participate in large numbers.

The inspection was attended by ADC Bhaderwah, SDPO Bhaderwah, Executive Engineer R&B Bhaderwah, DIO, EO Municipal Committee Bhaderwah and other district officers.

“The proposed Lavender Festival 2025 will not just celebrate the blooming lavender fields of Bhaderwah but also serve as an initiative to promote eco-tourism, local handicrafts, traditional cuisine and the natural beauty of the region. It will also act as a symbol of unity, sustainable development and cultural pride” said the DC.
