JAMMU, MAY 8: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya today conducted a surprise inspection of Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu and Government Hospital Sarwal.
While many facilities were found satisfactory during the visits, the Deputy Commissioner noted some irregularities.
Irregularities with respect to attendance by some staff members were observed, while instructions were issued regarding the maintenance of cleanliness and adherence to sanitary protocols in the hospitals.
The DC took serious note of reports that some doctors at Government Hospital Sarwal were prescribing branded medicines to patients instead of recommending generic names or salts of the medications.
Responding promptly, the DC issued explanation notices to the erring officials, seeking their response within a set period to address the identified issues.
