Calls for leveraging facility to boost self-employment and MSME growthKATHUA, APRIL 2: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today visited the newly established Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) under the flagship ‘Mission YUVA’ (Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan) here at District Employment & Counselling Centre.
Pertinently, the unit has been established as a dedicated one-stop facilitation and incubation centre to support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted that the SBDU would provide comprehensive handholding support to entrepreneurs, particularly those having nano-enterprise and MSME sectors.
The DC encouraged the youth of the district to take full advantage of the facility and transform their innovative ideas into sustainable ventures, thereby contributing to employment generation and overall economic growth of the district.
It was informed that the SBDU will offer assistance in preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), facilitate access to various government schemes and provide expert guidance at the grassroots level, ensuring that business support services reach aspiring entrepreneurs effectively.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishavjeet Singh; Chief Planning Officer Ranjeet Thakur; Assistant Director Employment Piyusha Khajuria and representatives from the Employment Department were present on the occasion.
