KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 29: The District Rent Assessment Committee approved 25 rent assessment cases pertaining to various government departments at its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, today.

The approved cases included rented accommodation for offices functioning under Police, Army, FCS&CA, JKRLM, Education, Health, Cooperative, Handicrafts and Fisheries departments. The Committee deliberated on fixation of rents for government offices housed in private structures across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to ensure timely disbursement of rents to the building owners, while also safeguarding government-rented properties. He emphasized that payments must be made only after proper record verification.

Issuing strict directions, the DC further directed that the owners of rented properties must remain present during the next Rent Assessment Committee meeting to avoid discrepancies.

The meeting was attended by ASP Pardeep Singh; Dy. Registrar Cooperative Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal; AD Handicrafts Pardeep Shan; Dy. CEO Masood Ahmed Qazi and other officials of concerned departments.
