KISHTWAR, JUNE 20: As part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen communal harmony and eliminate drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma held separate meetings today with representatives of the Majlis-E-Shoura Committee and the Sanatan Dharma Sabha.

In both interactions, the DC emphasized the critical role of community-based cooperation in promoting peace, social cohesion, and addressing the growing menace of substance abuse.

He urged members of both the organizations to maintain active communication with the District Administration and promptly report any instances of drug abuse or addiction observed in their respective areas.

The DC also appealed to the leadership of both communities to raise awareness among citizens about the harmful effects of drugs and to support the administration in reintegrating drug-affected individuals into mainstream through counseling and community engagement.

Members of both the Majlis-E-Shoura Committee and the Sanatan Dharma Sabha expressed their firm commitment to supporting the administration’s efforts.

They assured full cooperation in preserving communal harmony and actively contributing to the district’s anti-drug initiatives.

The meeting was attended by ADC Pawan Kotwal, ACR Idrees Lone besides others.
