KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse chaired a comprehensive review meeting today focusing on the progress and effective implementation of key financial inclusion and social security schemes across the district.

At the outset, DC assessed the status of beneficiary enrolment under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY).

Lead District Manager presented scheme wise progress achieved so far from April 2025. Detailed discussions were held on strategies to be adopted to maximise registrations in coming months to achieve targets.

DC emphasized that these financial inclusion initiatives are vital for extending social security coverage, offering life and accidental insurance as well as pension benefits to economically disadvantaged sections of society.

Banks and relevant line departments were instructed to intensify awareness and registration campaigns, ensuring that more eligible citizens are brought under the scope of these schemes.

During the meeting, DC also directed to ensure maximum registrations under these schemes as part of the celebrations for Seva Parv-2025. Special camps shall be organised during Seva Parv for enrolments.

The meeting saw participation from key officials, including Programme Officer ICDS, CPO, CMO, CEO, ACD, LDM and other concerned officers.
