RAJOURI, JUNE 11: Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today conducted a comprehensive inspection of the ongoing development works and government institutions in Thanamandi Sub Division.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the ongoing work on the vital Rajouri–Thanamandi–Surankote road stretch, inspecting the progress of work on Rajouri to DKG segment. The road being constructed by the BRO is of great strategic and developmental importance as it will significantly improve connectivity in the hilly region. The DC directed the concerned authorities to expedite the pace of work while maintaining quality standards and ensuring adherence to timeline.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited Sub District Hospital Thanamandi, where he assessed the healthcare facilities, manpower, infrastructure and medicine supplies. He interacted with the hospital staff and patients and stressed the need for improved sanitation, better patient care and round-the-clock availability of medical services.

Afterwards, the DC visited several other government institutions in the area to evaluate their functioning and services delivery. He issued necessary directions to the heads of departments to ensure accountability, punctuality and effective implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Abid Hussain, local Tehsildar, BDO and officers from BRO and other departments.
