REASI, MAY 27: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik today chaired a meeting of Zila Sainik Welfare Board in the VC Hall of the DC Office Complex to review and address the issues of ex-servicemen of the district.

The session was held in the presence of official and non-official members of the Zila Sainik Welfare Board, including Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Captain Kapil Sharma; Adm Comdt SSO Reasi Colonel M. S. Chauhan; ADC Reasi Rakesh Kumar; Dy. SP Headquarters, ALC, CMO, and CEO.

Several important issues were taken up during the meeting, including the renewal and issuance of gun licenses.

The Deputy Commissioner assured the attendees that the process is being fast-tracked and advised individuals facing delays to approach the DC office for checking status and any immediate assistance.

On the matter of marriage certificates, the DC informed that revenue officers are issuing the same in a timely manner. She urged ex-servicemen to report any delays promptly so that related benefits, such as financial assistance for the marriage of daughters of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris, can be extended without hindrance.

Other topics discussed included the organization of army rallies, improved access to CSD canteen facilities, concerns about ECHS clinic services and broader developmental needs for the welfare of ex-servicemen.
Reaffirming her commitment, the DC asked the Zila Sainik Welfare Officer to take unresolved issues to higher authorities and keep her informed so that they can be addressed at the appropriate level.

The meeting highlighted the administration’s dedication to the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. Through continued engagement and proactive measures, the district aims to foster a respectful and supportive environment for those who have served the nation with distinction.
