DC Reasi reviews arrangements for forthcoming Mahashivratri Mela 2025 at Shivkhori

REASI, JANUARY 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi, Nidhi Malik chaired a comprehensive meeting today to finalize the arrangements for the 3 day forthcoming Mahashivratri Mela 2025 commencing from 25th February at Shivkhori.

The meeting brought together officials from various departments to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for devotees attending the festival.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner stressed that the timely execution of all responsibilities and directed departments to prioritize public safety and convenience during the event.

The DC also reviewed security and crowd management measures to ensure smooth operations. She instructed the health department to deploy medical teams with ambulances and fire services to remain on high alert throughout the Mela. Emphasizing the importance of uninterrupted basic amenities, the DC directed officials to ensure a continuous water and electricity supply during the event. Additionally, she highlighted the need for a well-coordinated traffic management plan to facilitate the movement of pilgrims and visitors.

Calling for collective efforts, DC encouraged all stakeholders to work diligently to make the Mahashivratri Mela a grand success. She also emphasized the beautification and illumination of Shivkhori town to enhance the spiritual ambiance of the festival. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deliver a safe, vibrant, and well-organized celebration for all attendees.

SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, ADDC Sukhdev Samyal, EO SSKSB Pardeep Kumar, ACR Anshumali Sharma, ASP Iftkhar and other concerned officials were present in meeting.
