REASI, MARCH 01: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Ms. Nidhi Malik convened a comprehensive meeting to review the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district.

The meeting saw detailed discussions on the achievements and challenges across Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, and other allied sectors under the programme. The DDC conducted a thorough department-wise review to ensure the effective implementation of the initiatives.

The concerned officers were directed to strategically plan and efficiently implement the farmers’ welfare schemes under HADP, ensuring that all programs run smoothly and achieve the intended outcomes.

The DDC highlighted the importance of introducing niche crops from other districts to enhance diversification and further boost local agricultural output.

The District Development Commissioner stressed the significance of coordination among different departments in the agro sector to ensure the seamless saturation of HADP schemes. Asking officers to carry out regular field visits, she said direct engagement with farmers would help to understand their needs and challenges more effectively. This would maximize outreach and encourage more participation in the programs designed for their welfare.

Additionally, DDC Ms Malik suggested that success stories of farmers benefiting from HADP be documented and shared through electronic media to raise awareness and motivate others to take advantage of the schemes. She concluded by urging the officers to work diligently to increase the number of applicants for the schemes, thereby ensuring that the district meets the targets set under the programme. ADDC Reasi Sukhdev Samyal, CPO Narinder Kumar, LDM, CAO, CAHO, CHO, DSHO and other concerned officials were present.
