District Administration Ramban welcomes first batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025 Pilgrims at Chanderkote

RAMBAN, JULY 02: The District Administration Ramban led by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan extended a warm welcome to the first batch of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025 pilgrims at Chanderkote and Banihal, here today.

The welcome ceremony witnessed the presence of Member Legislative Assembly Ramban, Arjun Singh Raju; DIG DKR Range, Shridhar Patil; SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh; SSP Traffic NHW, Raja Adil Hamid Ganaie; ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo along with other senior officers.

The event was also graced by DDC Members and members of various religious and social organizations who joined in welcoming the pilgrims with great enthusiasm and devotion.

During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner and other dignitaries personally reviewed the arrangements made for the pilgrims at Langars and Yatri Niwas established at Chanderkote, Lamber (Banihal) and other designated locations along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted that the District Administration has ensured robust civil amenities and security arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Yatra. He further informed that adequate facilities for boarding, lodging and emergency medical aid have been set up, along with round-the-clock helplines to assist the pilgrims in case of any eventuality or halt due to weather or other conditions.

The District Administration worked 24X7 to provide seamless support and ensure a safe and smooth passage for the devotees undertaking the holy pilgrimage, he added.
