District Dev Council Ramban finalizes Rs 60.9 cr Developmental Plan under Capex Budget 2024-25

RAMBAN, JULY 01: The District Development Council (DDC) met here on Monday under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Shamshad Shan to discuss and finalize the plan for the District Capex Budget and other developmental schemes for the Financial Year 2024-25.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairperson DDC Rabia Beigh, and other DDC members. Senior officers, including ADDC Roshan Lal, CPO Shakeeb Ahmed, ACD Shrinath Suman, Executive Engineers from PWD (R&B), Jal Shakti Department, JPDCL, CMO, BDOs and other senior officials from relevant departments were also in attendance.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion took place regarding the allocations for different departments. The District Development Council finalized the Developmental Plan according to the guidelines, with a budget ceiling of Rs 60.9 Crores for the Financial Year 2024-25.

The plans regarding all the key sectors and departments including Jal Shakti, Irrigation, PWD (R&B), Education, Health, JPDCL and RDD were discussed in detail.

The Chairperson emphasized that formal approval of the Action Plan will be sought from the Government to ensure the District Development Plan is implemented effectively. She stressed the importance of ensuring comprehensive development in every part of the district.

Highlighting the need for proper monitoring and timely completion of developmental works, the Chairperson directed all departments to ensure that their block and zone-level officers oversee the projects within their respective sectors diligently.
